Amanda Bennett is a London-based photographer, strongly committed to social justice work and using photography as a tool to increase awareness, empathy and understanding of diverse life experiences and contexts.

She has a professional background of over 25 years in the UK Charity and international development sectors. This has included working with human rights and advocacy organisations in West Africa, overseeing an arts/ education programme between remote communities in the North Slope Borough of Arctic Alaska and Aberdeenshire, managing projects supporting women in contact with the Criminal Justice System and supporting frontline staff working with people experiencing homelessness via a UK-wide support Network. In 2025, she completed the London Institute of Photography’s Professional Photography Certificate.

Amanda is committed to building trust with people she photographs; working in a way that is relational, trauma-informed and collaborative, so people feel safe, comfortable and confident in how they are seen by external audiences.
